Short Light Switch Cover Feature Shifted Openings
Fits Tight Spots - Find short wall plates trimmed for tight locations above back splashes, against tile, below cabinetry, etc. These half short outlet covers and light switch plates still look the same on the opposite side, but will fit up against shelving or new tiling that comes right up to the edge of the electrical box.
Looks The Same - These shorter switch plates are similar to a 4" tall plate only on the trimmed side with full coverage on the other three sides (which generally are not affected by the obstruction). The one short side can be either on the top or the bottom - just flip it over as per your need. Note: If your obstruction is on either the left or the right side, you will need narrow light switch covers.
Many Size Options - Short outlet covers are available for duplex and Decora receptacles in one- or two-gang styles. Short light switch covers for toggle and rocker switches also come in both single and double sizes. However, if you need a 2-gang combination trim plate for two different types of devices, such as a toggle plus a duplex outlet, we recommend replacing both switches with decorator style rectangular devices - Decora light switches, slide dimmers, block receptacles, or GFI outlets - in order to use the short profile double rocker switch plate cover. This will give you the most versatility for changing electrical devices should your lighting needs change in the future.
Additional Sizes - Need another size not available? Use inserts and filler straps to create additional configurations

Will a Short Plate Fit Your Space?
Short Cover Plates for Stacked Electrical Boxes
Trimmed switch plates are also great for covering electrical boxes stacked in tandem.
If standard covers won't fit over your tandem handy boxes because they're too close together, purchase shorter cover plates.
(Note that short plates only reach the edge of the handy box on one end, but the device tabs extend beyond that. As a result, a portion of the device tabs will remain exposed between 2 short cover plates (as shown here).
For electrical devices installed sideways with adjacent electrial boxes, half short rocker covers can be used together where 2 standard covers won't fit.
Smaller Flat Wall Plates
Our flat plates feature a non-beveled edge and are smaller than standard covers.
They may offer the only solution for covering an outlet or switch in a tight spot - perhaps between a baseboard and window trim.
Here are some tips for getting smaller, flat covers to sit flush with the wall:
Side-Obstructed Electrical Devices
For electrical devices with side obstructions, shop narrow electrical covers.
Narrow covers have plate cutouts that are offset to one side, rather than offset toward the top or bottom.
