The Ultra switches are contact closure devices with all passive components: surface mount switches, surface mount LEDs, and SIPs resistor.
Ultra control units protrude out from the wall 7/16" and recess behind the wall 5/8".
Touch Plate's white finishes do vary, with the Mystique & Ultra series being the brightest white, while the 5000, Genesis & Classic series are more of an off-white.
Utra switches are a modern update for discontinued Remcon light switches.
It's important to note that each old Remcon switch gets replaced by two Touch Plate switches (buttons). A 2-button Ultra unit goes in place of a single old Remcon switch. A 4-button unit replaces 2 Remcon switches and so on.
