For vintage 3-wire systems, it can be used as a replacement for 9 pilot lighted switches. Note that when using in a 3-wire system like those by GE, Bryant, or Sierra Electric, our free 3-wire to 2-wire Touch Plate conversion instruction guide will be helpful for correct installation. These pilot light functionality would not work in Remcon systems, nor would the center master switch.

Q & A

Q. Is this a low voltage 3-way switch with pilot light?
A. Yes, it is. You will wire the switch in parallel to the relay it is controlling. So for that reason, you could have an unlimited number of switches controlling the same light. The relay just responds when receiving a signal from any of the switches it is hooked up to.

Q. I currently don't have pilot light functionality on my switches. Will these control stations provide it?
A. Not likely. Pilot light functionality requires an extra wire in the walls plus a Pilot Light Power Transformer 6V for each pilot light. If you do not currently have that extra wiring then it would have to be run through the walls first.
