NOTE FOR 3-WIRE SYSTEMS: Upgrading a 3-wire system such as Remcon, GE or Bryant? This switch won't work. You must double the number of switches on those systems, so if you have a 1-switch unit, change to a 2-switch Touch-Plate.

Q & A

Q. I have several Remcon switches that need replacing. Can I substitute 1-button Touchplates for them?
A. No. Touch Plate light switches are based on a 2-wire low voltage system, whereas Remcon uses a 3-wire system. Because of this you have to double the number of switches you were using with Remcon because one button will turn the light on and the other will turn it off. (In Touchplate systems, the same button is used when turning lights on and off.)

Switch is just fine, but "white" is NOT white

These switches work just fine, however the ones sold as white here are most certainly NOT actually white, they are closer to the switch plate color referred to light almond. They do look white at first - until you hold them next to a switch plate that is actually white, and then its very obvious they are a different color of "white". So if you are planning to position this switch very close to existing white switch plate or outlet plate, it will look conspicuous because the colors will be different. In the end, disappointing, and I'm surprised it hasn't been observed or mentioned by others here.

Staff: This is Touch Plate's white and they have not changed it since they started selling them in the 1940's. It should still match your vintage switches. Please note that we describe the color as "warm white" and we provide color comparison photos on all Touch-Plate switch and wall plate categories.

If you need a brighter white Touch Plate switch, we recommend Touch-Plates' Ultra or Mystique switches.

    Glad I found Kyle

We moved into a house that was built in the 60’s and were told by a local contractor that we were stuck with worn out switches because nobody makes them anymore. I found Kyle Switch Plates and not only are they available but they’re made in the USA. The electrician that installed them had no trouble at all. Very happy customer here.
