Description
Install high-end camera doorbell or other digital electrical devices in a standard double-gang box with this specialty wallplate. Cover has specially-positioned corner screw holes that are more spread out than normal to allow for a wide doorbell to be installed in middle opening. The 2-27/32" H by 2.0" W center cutout is larger than a Decora rocker plate opening (which is only 2-5/8" H x 1-5/16" W) and is designed for updated home security systems, temperature controllers, call stations, remote lighting modules, and other specialized electronic control devices that require extra room.

- to install, mount doorbell to plate using included hex nuts, then mount cover directly to the wall box
- rectangular opening designed to accommodate specialty items such as thermostats, timers, fire alarms, etc., with bulky housings and larger facing
- check electrical box compatibility for this cover plate
- IMPORTANT: fits in/out type mounting models such as the 2020 and older $350 Ring Doorbell Elite (sits half in the box and half outside the box) but newer versions may be taller than the plate and might run into obstructions on your wall - be sure you have clearance for the taller doorbell around brick and masonry
- does not work with surface-mount doorbells (you cannot mount your doorbell inside or behind the center cutout)

- use with a moisture gasket, weatherstripping or silicone for a tight seal
- may replace old DoorbellFon door bells, doorchimes, door speaker intercoms, etc.
- triangle steel straps are 1.375" wide by 1" tall with device mounting holes and long slot holes (for adjustment)
- mount straps on the diagonal with end of long slot installed into box, and threaded center hole arranged at corners of box to create wider screw spacing; see photos
