Oversized 1 Decora Rocker and 1 Blank Combo Switch Plates

I needed a large plate to hide some drywall damage, 2 gang with 1 paddle switch and 1 blank, not easy to find. Kylesswitchplates had it, didn’t take long to get here and when I got it I was surprised how sturdy it was. Good product, would use this company again.

This face plate it both sturdy and nice looking. It is definitely oversized, but that is what I wanted since I had a larger opening in the wall that I wasn't able to cover up with a normal double gang face plate. It was a brushed stainless steel plate.

It came with 4 screws total. They were all the same size (about 1" long) and were all slotted heads. I think that they should have replaced 2 of the screws with screws that were 2" long. The holes on the blank side of the face plate line up with the electrical box mounting holes. The 1" screws are simply just not long enough to reach all the way back to the electrical box screw holes. I had to get 2 different screws to use in the holes on the blank side to properly mount this face plate. Not a big deal, but an observation.

Staff Comment: Thank you for the review. It sounds like your electrical box is not flush with the wall surface. (A recessed box can occur when paneling, tiles or granite is installed in a retrofit.) For recessed boxes longer screws may be needed. (Note: <a href="https://www.kyleswitchplates.com/long-screws-for-switchplates-6-pack/">longer screws</a> on the rocker side will be too long for flush mount boxes, and you will not be able to fully install them.)
