Want ivory or white instead? Buy an ivory 2-switch wall plate for old GE switches or a white stacked GE switch plate.
Updating to new gray GE switches? Be sure to purchase New Style Stacked GE Switch Plates to go with them because the new switches are too big to fit the old straps and covers.
Q & A
Q. The switches in my midcentury house have never been updated. Will these plates work with the new switches I plan on purchasing?
A. No, the new GE light switches have two square buttons and black borders, and they do not fit these older type wall plates. They cannot be used together. It is very important to purchase GE NEW STYLE SWITCH PLATES if you are updating your old mini rocking switches (made by GE or Bryant - see the photos above). The light switches that do fit these midcentury style plates DO NOT have black borders.
