Description
Half Short Trim 2 Decora GFI Wall Switch Plate - Ivory
These short 2-gang plates for rocker switches are made with beveled edges on all sides and offer a solution when there's not enough room above or below your electrical box to add a standard double rocker plate.
Uses
- electrical boxes that are installed too close together (one above the other)
- switches or outlets positioned against bottom of a cabinet (or just above a counter or vanity)
- wall tile runs too close to electrical devices
Features
- 3/16" shorter on one side (top or bottom - rotate as needed) than standard 2-rocker wall plates
- metal cover for a 2-gang box
- ivory installation screws included (1/2" in length)
- 4-9/16" wide x 4-1/2" high x 5/32" deep
- made in USA
- beveled edges on all sides
- rocker opening is 3/4" from edge on one end and 1-1/8" on the other (see images for all dimensions)
- standard Decora opening: 1 5/16" W x 2 5/8" H
- openings are for Decora (a Leviton trademark term) rocker switches, dimmers, fan controls and GFCI block outlets
Installation Notes: These custom covers from Kyle Switch Plates have screw holes drilled at 3.281" apart (box mount) instead of the typical 3.812" (strap mount) because of the smaller edge. To mount the cover, use the same screw through the plate AND device into the box. Matching 1/2" mounting screws are included.
Will it fit? Locate the screw that holds the device in the electrical box. Measure from the middle of that screw to the edge of the nearest obstruction (your cabinet, for example). If it's at least 11/32" (or 8.7mm), the cover will fit.
