Description
Half Short Three Decora Light Switch Plates for Tight Locations
Is your kitchen cabinet or bathroom sink backsplash installed right up to the edge of your 3-gang electrical box? Install an attractive switchplate in tight spots like these where the box is too close to an obstruction with Kyle's specialty trimmed 3 rocker light switch covers. Shorter on the top vs. the bottom, simply flip the cover over to use the trimmed side against the blockage. The large rectangular electrical device openings for the Decora rocker/slider/GFCI outlet switches are still in standard positions. The screws use box mounting openings - see note below.
Features
- American-made metal triple rocker plates
- versatile - rotate switchplate 180 degrees to place the short trimmed edge on either the top or bottom
- 6-3/8" W x 4-1/2" H x 5/32" D with clean beveled edges on all four sides
- distance from panel edge to Decora opening on one side is 3/4" and 1-1/8" on the other (upper or lower edge)
- opening fits all Decora, rocker, slider dimmer, fan control, GFCI, block, and decorative devices (Decora is a Leviton trademark term)
- the switchplate just covers the outer edge of the device straps
- standard device mount screw holes spread 1.813" (horizontally)
- alternate vertical mounting screws holes - see note below - screws into wallbox
- standard Decora opening: 1.312" W x 2.625" H
- custom size - produced in metal only (not plastic) - Kyle Switch Plates exclusive configuration
- 6 matching 1/2" slotted screws
Will it fit? Measure from the center of the screws holding the devices in the wall box to the edge of the obstruction. If the distance is more than 7/16" (11 mm), the plate should fit.
Installation Note
The vertical screw holes are set at box mounting distance (3.281") instead of the standard strap mounting (3.812") for the large square openings because the edge is trimmed off. So when installing, you mount the device and the cover plate at the same time: use the same screw to go through both the wallplate and the device directly into the wall box screw hole.
