note - screw hole location is spaced 3.281" apart (box mounting) and not standard strap mount distance of 3.812" because of wide beveling
standard Decora opening: 2 5/8" H x 1 5/16" W
2-3/4" W x 4-1/2" H x 5/16" D
2 white 1/2" screws - length appropriate if plate fits against box; order longer screws if you are raising the plate away from box

IMPORTANT INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Screw position is modified on these popular deep white plates because of steep bevel on edges. Screw holes are set at 3.281" box mount spacing (rather than strap mount spacing of 3.812" as is typical). To install, insert screw through switch plate, through device strap, then into electrical box with the same 1/2" screw. If your plate will be floating above the box (not touching it) because of bulky devices, you will need to order longer screws.

Just the thing

I have a few outlet boxes that protrude from the wall, making a regular outlet cover useless due to a gap between the edge of the cover plate and the wall. This "deep" plate is the only thing I have found that works for my situation. The usage of the outlet mounting screws to attach to the box through the cover makes the fit snug.

Elegant solution for covering a slider switch sticking too far out from the wall

It was a bit narrower than expected, but wide enough to cover drywall cutout for the metal gang box which was too firmly secured to adjust and could not be trimmed back.

I liked that the cover plate screwed through the actual device into the gang box so I could pull the plate tight towards the wall where normally I'd had a nasty gap. I also liked the clean white enamel finish. Looks very durable.

Great choice for this kind of problem. Shipping cost was a big high, however, for such a small item which could have been slipped into a padded envelope.
