Do these dark oil rubbed bronze switch plates match Venetian Bronze faucets, hardware and sinks?
Similar finish to Venetian Bronze finish hardware and to Victorian Venetian Bronze, although without the reddish undertone. (Dark bronze wall plates have a brass undertone.) We recommend ordering one plate first if trying to match other manufacturer's finishes. Note: There can be slight color variations between production batches. They are made from heavy .040" solid brass, U.S. Bureau Standards Symbol #20, with an antique relieved extra dark bronze finish and a lacquer coating to help prevent oxidation. Clean dusting spray using a soft cloth. Avoid contact with cleansers, chlorine, or alcohol-based products like perfumes or hand sanitizers.
Do these wall plates have a noticeable grain?
Single and double gang oiled bronze plates have a smooth vertical grain pattern; larger plates have a horizontal grain.
